From Tuesday 2 September 2025, applications for support for the call for ‘Investments for animal welfare’, which is part of the more complex intervention [SRD02] of Csr 23-27, aimed at enhancing the climate and environmental performance of farms and improving animal welfare on farms, can be submitted on the Sian portal.
The call, which has a budget of €6 million and is applicable throughout the region, supports farm projects with agricultural and livestock production purposes (excluding other purposes such as sport or affection). In particular, investments aimed at encouraging the evolution of farms towards a more sustainable and ethical model are financed, including through the introduction of innovative and precise management systems that increase animal welfare and biosecurity, including with regard to antimicrobial resistance, as well as investments aimed at adapting the supply of water and feed, according to the natural needs of the farm, for the care of animals and the improvement of housing conditions (such as increased space availability, floor surfaces, enrichment materials, natural light) and to offer outdoor access to animals.
The application must be accompanied by a computerised technical report that can be downloaded from the Siarc portal.
The closing date for the submission of applications for support is 15 September 2025 at 4 p.m.
It is possible to send requests for clarification, up to 10 days before the deadline for issuing the application, to the PEC addresses indicated in the notice.
