EUR 20 million for priority actions of the Masterplan Cilento South: are those planned by the Regional Council of Campania with a recently published resolution on the Burc (No 75 of 20 October 2025).

The resources, relating to the Regional Programme ERDF Campania 2021-2027, will serve to initiate the most urgent actions provided for in the development plan of the Cilento coast, in line with the objectives of sustainability and territorial enhancement of European programming.

The Masterplan Cilento Sud was born from Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2022 between the Campania Region and the coastal municipalities involved (Ascea, Camerota, Casal Velino, Centola, Ispani, Montecorice, Pisciotta, Pollica, San Giovanni a Piro, San Mauro Cilento, Santa Marina, Sapri and Vibonati) with the aim of promoting a balanced and sustainable development through the integrated requalification the Coastal Landscapes and the strengthening economies premises.

The operational heart of the Masterplan are five macro-development priorities It was announced at a conference of mayors in July.

This is the Recovery of abandoned agricultural areas through regenerative agriculture, Establishment of a DMO (Destination Management Organization) municipality of the Cilento Coast for the implementation of an integrated tourist organization, the creation of of a technological platform for the net of the tourist portualità and for the management of the tourist offer of Cilento, the enhancement of the Blue Economy and the establishment of theMarine area with experimental management between Montecorice and Sapri.

Most of the interventions identified already have an advanced design, a condition that will allow the subsequent implementation phases to proceed quickly.

The next step is now the eligibility check projects by the Special Office of the ERDF Managing Authority, which is also responsible for financing, within the limit of the 20 million allocated, those with the highest level of progress.
