There is time until 10 March to participate in the new call published by the European Commission under the programme Horizon Europe for the launch of the pilot project European Startup and Scaleup Hubs (ESSH).

The initiative provides for the creation of an interconnected network of start-up support structures among the most advanced and emerging in Europe, integrated into innovation ecosystems with the participation of university, higher education institutions, research and technology organisations e enterprises, which encourages the expansion of hub activities.

In particular, it aims to experiment a network consisting of about 10-18 ESSH: highly qualified hubs, deeply integrated with leading research, technology and higher education institutions, with solid experience in business creation, scaling, attracting investment and entrepreneurial training.

Hubs They will work together transnationally. to facilitate theStartups' access to talent, capital, infrastructure and mentoring also outside their local ecosystems; Sharing skills and infrastructure research; Supporting the development of European startups, including those funded by the European Innovation Council, including through linking with European innovation networks and instruments; Reducing regional gaps through mentoring and capacity building activities.

Particular attention should be paid to facilitate access for spinoffs, startups and deep tech scaleups to resources, services and contacts not available in their local ecosystems, in order to facilitate its expansion in the Single Market.

The total budget is 20 million euros, with a co-financing up to 50% eligible costs.

The deadline for the submission of proposals is fixed at 10 March 2026.
