REGIOSTARS 2025 is the perfect opportunity to enhance projects that have generated a positive impact at local level, have taken the region forward economically, socially or environmentally, continue to produce positive effects even after the end or could be replicated across Europe.
Since 2008, the European Commission has been organising REGIOSTARS annually, recognised as the Seal of Excellence for EU-funded projects demonstrating the impact and inclusiveness of regional development. The competition rewards projects in five categories that reflect the objectives of cohesion policy:
Category 1: A Competitive and Smart Europe
Category 2: A Green Europe
Category 3: A Connected Europe
Category 4: A Social and Inclusive Europe
Category 5: A Europe Closer to Citizens
The winning projects of REGIOSTARS 2025, selected by a jury composed of renowned academics, will get the recognition they deserve and a promotional campaign aimed at increasing the visibility and impact of the projects themselves.
