The project P.I.U.Su.Pr.Eme. at the Regio Stars Awards

The project P.I.U.Su.Pr.Eme., co-financed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies – Directorate-General for Immigration and Integration Policies and the European Union through the NOP Inclusion European Social Fund 2014-2020, active from 2019 to 2023 in the five regions of southern Italy (Apulia (lead), Sicily, Calabria, Campania and Basilicata) for countering the caporalato and the exploitation of migrant workers, is one of the finalists of the 2025 edition of the REGIOSTARS Awards, convened each year by the European Commission,in the section “A social and inclusive Europe”,

REGIOSTARS rewards the best projects funded by the European Union, which have had the greatest impact and ensured regional inclusiveness in the Member States.

In addition to the selection of the jury, the REGIOSTARS Awards also include a popular vote, which will allow all citizens to choose their favorite project, allowing them to get the prize. Only one preference can be expressed. And now P.I.U.Su.Pr.Eme. needs the support of all of us to be able to return as a winner to Brussels, the heart and symbol of the European institutions, where the Closing Conference of the project took place in 2023.

The winners for each category will be announced on 15 October during the award ceremony, which will take place in the Belgian capital as part of the 23rd edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities, the European Union’s annual event dedicated to cohesion policies.
