Waste cycle and separate collection, sustainable mobility, circular economy, energy efficiency, water purification, bathing, protection of forests and forest heritage, these are some of the topics discussed during the States General of the Environment in Campania as part of the Green Med Expo & Symposium (28-30 May – Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples).

A series of results resulting from the environmental policies implemented by the Campania Region and partly co-financed by the resources of the European cohesion policy. These include interventions on sewage and purification systems (Laghi Flegrei, Regi Lagni, Blue Flag Domitio coast, Sarno River) and interventions to reduce hydrogeological risk in mountain and forest areas.

The job carried out is retraced by the president of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca, who spoke at the event.

As part of the event, the fifth edition of the Claudio Cicatiello Prize. Among the finalists of the Startup Section which rewards young companies operating in the fields of renewable energy, waste management, circular economy, sustainable agriculture, food waste reduction, eco-sustainable design and water resources management, including three companies that have developed their solutions thanks to the Campania Region Startup Call financed through the resources of the European cohesion policy (PR Campania FESR).

The Oxhy that through the study of the physical properties of water in the context of Quantum Electrodynamics has discovered theHydroelectric effect (Oxhy effect) which allows you to extracting electric current from water cells using the Infrared radiation. With the support of the European Cohesion Policy of the Campania Region (Startup Call) Oxhy is working on the miniaturization of the Hydroelectric Cell (Oxhycell) to promote their marketing.

The Nisida Enviroment who is in charge of developing Innovative solutions to accelerate the ecological transition and turn sustainability into opportunities, with the resources of the Campania Region’s European cohesion policy, it has acquired equipment (thermal and underwater drones – remote sensing – video inspection systems for drains and sewers) – capable of expanding and improving the technologies used by the company to make environmental monitoring more effective. fast and efficient, It also makes it possible to integrate the data collected into customers’ IT systems (industrial activity databases, GIS systems, etc.).

The Earth Sensing who developed the AI Carbon HUB (AICH), a platform for the voluntary exchange of carbon credits through the analysis and quantification of CO2 removed from a forest area and the management of the exchange between a landowner and a private company to offset emissions. With the funding of the European Cohesion Policy of the Campania Region (Startup Call) aims at the development of a Innovative Deep Learning Algorithm applied to multispectral images and radar to accurately estimate forest biomass at the surface (AGB). The carbon credits generated by a forest will be recorded in blockchain, for maximum transparency of calculations and transactions.
