The Partnership Agreement between Italy and the European Commission for the 2021-2027 programming cycle has been approved.

With the Partnership Agreement the strategic frame of reference for the programming of cohesion policy in Italy for the 2021-2027 cycle is defined. The act will guide huge investments and resources between now and 2027: about EUR 43 billion of European structural funds, of which more than EUR 31 billion goes to the Mezzogiorno. To these must be added national resources of over 32 billion euros that bring total investments of more than €75 billion between European funds and share of national co-financing. They are additional resources to those of the NRRP and those of the National Development and Cohesion Fund.

In particular, net of the share reserved for European Territorial Cooperation, 46.5 billion euros (63 billion euros) are allocated to the less developed regions.%), to more developed regions EUR 23.8 billion (32%) and transition regions 3.6 billion (5%).

To the Campania Region are earmarked for cohesion policy 21-27 €7 billion (6,973,128,363) divided as follows:

Among the novelties of the new Partnership Agreement are the Health NP, the extension of the Metro NP to the medium-sized cities of the Mezzogiorno for the redevelopment of the suburbs, the use of funds for the recruitment of new professionals in the public administration, the very strong concentration of resources on the objectives of the ecological and digital transition.
