The Campania Region participated in the Festival of the Regions held in Venice. The event, promoted by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces in collaboration with the Veneto Region for its fourth edition, allowed three days of meetings between the Presidents of the Region and the regional councillors who discussed autonomy and relations with the State, climate change, territorial development and new technologies.
The President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, took part in the ‘Constitutional Dialogues for Sustainable Regionalism’, discussing cooperation and institutional innovation in the company of: Massimiliano Fedriga, President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region; Eugenio Giani, President of the Region of Tuscany and Renzo Testolin, President of the Region of Valle d’Aosta.
In the lagoon also the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, Speaking to the audience at the Doge’s Palace, he recalled that in order to achieve the objectives of security, growth and cohesion, collaboration between the different levels must be intensively practised, starting with the European institutions.
Regional councillors Valeria Fascione (disambiguation) (Research, Innovation and Start-up) ed Hector Five (disambiguation) (Budget, Funding of the Regional Health Service) took part in a debate on key issues for the development of our country in the company of experts and personalities from institutions, trade associations, academia and business.
Valeria Fascione spoke at the table coordinated by Stefania Proietti, President of the Umbria Region, dedicated to ‘Made in Italy’, while Councillor Cinque participated in the table dedicated to ‘Food, Food, Health and Wellness’, coordinated by Francesco Roberti, President of the Molise Region.
In the Campo San Polo exhibition area, on the other hand, a Village of the Regions was set up where tourists and citizens were able to discover the cultural excellence of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces, including monuments, history and UNESCO heritage sites.
