MORE THAN 25MILA CIVICI ALREADY COVERED WITH THE ITALY 1 GIGA PLAN
In the provinces of Avellino and Benevento, the work envisaged by theItaly 1 Giga plan for ultra-fast connectivity. To date, the ultra-broadband infrastructure has been completed in 88 municipalities of Irpinia and Sannio, with overall coverage of more than 25,000 citizens (approximately 38,000 real estate units) in FTTH and FWA mode. The digitisation intervention, financed up to 70% the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, alongside the more than 260,000 real estate units already affected in the two provinces by the Plan BUL, carried out by Open Fiber with Community and State funds.
The ultra-fast network available today is largely made with the FTTH technology (Fiber-to-the-home, the optical fibre itself up to the inside of the buildings), the only solution that can guarantee connection speeds of over 1 Gigabit per second. A residual share of civics is instead reached by technology FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) Complementary solution to the optical fiber that through the radio signal allows you to reach the most inaccessible and difficult to access areas.
