The 24th edition of EU Regions Week 2026 will be held in Brussels from 12 to 14 October 2026 under the motto: Strong Regions, Strong Europe. This edition is particularly important as it is at the heart of the debate on the next Multiannual Financial Framework and the future of cohesion policy.
The call is open to a wide range of actors active in territorial governance and the management of EU funds:
- local and regional authorities
- associations, universities and research centres
- Managing Authority of the European Programmes
- Entities involved in territorial cooperation and bodies involved in EU programmes
Under the initiative, it is possible to organise:
- workshop (90 min)
- EURegionsTalk (30 min)
- exhibition stands
- tastings
- thematic events
The application platform is online and the deadline is set at 26 April. Each person may submit only one proposal.
The assessment elements include:
- quality of content
- Consistency with the motto of the edition
- solidity of the partnership
- gender balance
- inclusiveness
- Quality of Speakers
In addition, the EU Regions Week Close to You programme will run from 12 October to 20 December, allowing local events to be organised outside Brussels. The format offers:
- visibility on the official website
- Access to Dedicated Branding
- possibility to integrate the registrations in the AI overview of the event
