This was stated by the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, during the opening conference of the third edition of MIT – Meet Italian Brands, an event dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of the Campania fashion industry.
Campanian fashion, together with agro-industry, food and specialised production in the fields of aerospace and automotive, are the sectors where Campania invests the most to promote the development of the territory. "We want this event to give confidence in this complex phase", continued the President, for whom the regional action focused on supporting sectors of excellence has made it possible to renew the image of Campania, which has become an attractive place. "We provide targeted investments and simple procedures, also supporting advanced research" - he added.
And the Campania Region, through the 2021-2027 Programming, continues its commitment to the fashion sector, as underlined by Almerina Bove, Head of Cabinet and Head of Unitary Programming of the Campania Region. There are three lines of support for the Chamber of Fashion of Campania, Modec, which, with the contribution of the Mondragone Foundation, will be the place to co-design the development of Campania fashion and face the international factors of crisis (duties). Training with support for new pathways for ITS Fashion and help companies find skilled labour. Third line of intervention is the support to companies with calls to support eco-sustainable productions in line with the Intelligent Specialization Strategy of the Campania Region (RIS3).
