Recruitment of 2,200 permanent officials to manage cohesion policy interventions. This is provided for in the Notice of Expression of Interest initiating the extraordinary recruitment plan for local and regional authorities in the South under cohesion policy, one of the main actions of the National Cohesion Capacity Programme 2021-2027, implemented on the basis of the provisions of Decree-Law No 124/2023 (D.L. Sud) converted with amendments by Law No 162 of 13 November 2023 into Official Gazette No 268 of 16 November 2023.

The notice, published on 21 November and addressed to municipalities, unions of municipalities, regional administrations, provinces and metropolitan cities of the regions of Basilicata, Campania, Calabria, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily, aims to gather information on the need for resources and professional profiles and to lay the foundations for the subsequent organisation of a competition.

The initiative aims to promote the strengthening of the administrative capacity of the administrations of the territories concerned with the aim of improving the implementation performance of cohesion policy interventions at national level.

In particular, up to a maximum of 1,674 new recruits will be allocated to local authorities (municipalities and unions of municipalities), 250 regional administrations, 135 provinces and 70 metropolitan cities. Finally, 71 new recruits will be assigned to the strengthening of the Department for Cohesion Policies and for the South.

The administrations concerned have until 12 noon on Tuesday 30 January 2024 to respond to the notice, using the Platform Dedicated. The application for membership by an institution can be made by the Mayor, by the legal representative or by a person delegated by it.

With the aim of further disseminating the opportunity and stimulating new accessions by the administrations of the territories concerned, the Managing Authority of the Programme organised a webinar scheduled for 11 January at 11 a.m. following the series of webinars already organised by ANCI as part of the support action provided for by the project. #CapCoe called Cap4City.
