The investment programme in local public transport in the Campania Region continues.
Delivered to the plant Menarini Flumeri other 63 new buses of the total 1685 that will renew the 60% the vehicle park of Campania. To date, there are 1501 already in operation. The 63 buses thus allocated 35 vehicles to Air Campania, 27 to EAV and one to Verdicchio.
These are vehicles powered by methane gas, with low environmental impact, equipped with a series of features (including platforms for access for weak users) that make the journey more accessible, safe and comfortable. The Campania Intelligent Collective Transport System, in particular, makes it possible to monitor the service and safety on board and to communicate with users in the event of news on the line.
An investment that is increasing the safety and sustainability of local public transport, but which is also guaranteeing jobs to plants that without the orders of the Campania Region would not have had the opportunity to continue activities.
The handover was attended by the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, the Regional Councillor for Labour and Productive Activities, Antonio Marchiello, the Regional Councillor Luca Cascone, the Director General of ACAMIR, Maria Teresa Di Mattia and the sole administrator of AIR Campania Anthony Acconcia.
