Making visible what remains in the shadows today, bringing out and valuing thousands of children and adolescents who are imperceptible to society. This is the theme that Giffoni adopted in 2022 and chose the Archaeological Park of Pompeii to present the program of the festival that will take place from 21 to 30 July.
The project, co-funded by the Campania Region and the Ministry of Culture, will host 5000 giffoners from 33 countries who will judge 118 films in competition and 30 out of competition from 35 countries.
The event was attended by, among others, the Regional Councillor for Schools and Social and Youth Policies, Lucia Fortini and the general director of the festival Jacopo Gubitosi and the director and founder Claudio Gubitosi.
Over 250 guests, including in addition to those already announced, such as Gary Oldman, are added Richard Madden, Gabriele Mainetti, Eduardo Scarpetta, Laura Morante, Me Against You and Maria Chiara Giannetta.
200 young people, under 30, protagonists of IMPACT! will meet men and women of science, entertainment, institutions, culture and sport such as: Oliviero Toscani, Giorgia Soleri, Erri De Luca, Domenico De Masi, Diego Bianchi, Marco Da Milano, Guido Brera, Alessandro Orsini, Cecilia Sala, Mauro Biani, Andrea Purgatori, Jago, Samuele Bersani and Tananai are some of the great protagonists of the section

For the 40th anniversary of E.T., on July 21, on the inaugural day and in the presence of the Governor of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca, a unique piece will be exhibited: the cast of E.T.'s face and some original drawings made by Maestro and Oscar winner Carlo Rambaldi.
