The Campania Region has published the Public Notice foracquisition of expressions of interest by municipalities that want to activate or enhance the school bus service on their territory.
The initiative is funded by the ERDF Regional Programme 2021-2027, under the Sustainable Mobility Goal (RSO3.2 – Action 3.2.1), and aims to make school transport safer, more comfortable and, above all, more environmentally friendly.
In particular, the call is aimed at municipalities with a population of up to 15,000 inhabitants and those between 15,000 and 30,000 inhabitants.
A total of EUR 16 million is available for the purchase of new eco-friendly school buses. Priority will be given to smaller municipalities that today do not have a school transport service or are located in areas where schools are distant from homes.
The collaboration was also rewarded: the networks of municipalities that will manage the service together will have a higher score.
Interested municipalities can submit their application exclusively online, through the dedicated portal https://acamir.regione.campania.it/scuolabus2025, from 20/10/2025 until 19/11/2025.
The accepted proposals will be evaluated by a regional commission, which will draw up two lists: one for municipalities under 15,000 inhabitants and one for those between 15,000 and 30,000.
With this Notice, Campania continues to focus on sustainable and inclusive mobility, investing in modern, safe and low-emission vehicles.
