Urban Development Strategies, 100 million for Integrated Enhancement Programs

Among the strategies outlined in the PR Campania FESR 2021-27, Territorial strategies, to which Priority 5 is dedicated, have an important role to play. In particular, Action 5.1.1 is intended to develop territorial planning strategies in an associated form, including one or more pole cities, also in continuity and further evolution of the choices made in the previous programming period.

Programming 2021-27 introduced the possibility of financing ‘other territorial systems’, identified as ‘large areas’ already tested in previous programming, consistent with the regulatory provisions and regional spatial planning instruments, and functional to the implementation of the development strategies in place.

The Campania Region (Decision No 478 of 24 September 2024) approved the financing of the Integrated Programmes for the Enhancement of the Domitio-Flegreo Coast, the Salerno SUD Coast and the Agro Nocerino-Sarnese.

EUR 100 million of European resources from PR Campania FESR 2021 2027 to launch some emblematic projects, particularly strategic to achieve the objectives of territorial, environmental and social regeneration in the territories concerned.

Bacoli, Giugliano in Campania, Monte di Procida and Pozzuoli (Naples). Cancello and Arnone, Carinola, Castel Volturno, Cellole, Falciano del Massico, Francolise, Mondragone, Parete, Sessa Aurunca and Villa Literno (Caserta).

Masterplan Coast Salerno SOUTH

Salerno, Agropoli, Battipaglia, Bellizzi, Capaccio-Paestum, Castellabate, Eboli, Pontecagnano Faiano.

Masterplan Agro Nocerino-Sarnese

Angri, Castel San Giorgio, Corbara, Nocera Inferiore, Nocera Superiore, Pagani, Roccapiemonte, San Marzano sul Sarno, San Valentino Torio, Sant’Egidio Monte Albino, Sarno, Scafati, Siano.

The PIV-Masterplans are the result of intensive discussions between the Campania Region, the local authorities concerned and the economic and social partnership which, together with the bodies responsible for preparing the Integrated Development Projects, has selected operations to promote integrated and inclusive social, economic and environmental development, culture, natural heritage, sustainable tourism and safety in urban areas.
