Territorial Strategies, DNSH and Climate Proofing, STEP, Digital Health and a narrative of the results of the 2014-2020 Programming of the ROP Campania ERDF were some of the topics brought by the Campania Region to the attention of the public of the PA 2025 Forum.
The ERDF communication therefore explored all the relevant aspects of the year and the opportunities for the future as commented by Roberta Esposito, Head of Staff TA AdG FESR of the Campania Region. A journey that began with the appointments on the new DNSH rules and the Simplified Cost Options at the PA 2024 Forum, and continued with in-depth activities on ‘public investment and climate change’ with the PA Camp Forum in Campania and the subsequent online appointments of the PA Play Forum, up to the Roman exhibition in 2025 where information on the numerous ongoing activities supported by the European Cohesion policy was provided in the large space reserved for Campania. In addition, the Managing Authority of PR Campania FESR, with all its collaborators interested in individual issues, took part in numerous talks on administrative capacity and territorial strategies, also organising a moment of public discussion with the European Commission, DipCoes and MIMIT on the opportunities arising from STEP.
The Campania Region with 581 million euros is among the main sources of funding of the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP) set up by the European Commission to free the EU from technological dependence on third countries. For this reason, the Managing Authority of PR Campania FESR has promoted the Forum PA, a meeting on the topic of European competitiveness in which they took part, in addition to Sergio Negro (disambiguation), Managing Authority of the European Regional Development Fund and Fiorella Ciullo STEP Coordinator for the Campania Region, Anna Maria Fontana Managing Authority, NP Research, Innovation and Competitiveness for the green and digital transition 2021-2027 – Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Susanna Costantini – Cohesion and Southern Policies Department – STEP National Contact Point and, via video link, Luca Mattiotti DG Regional Policies – European Commission.
At the Pa Forum dedicated toevolution of public digital infrastructures, between cloud strategy and artificial intelligence, the Campania Region with Massimo Bisogno, Director of the Special Office for Growth and the Digital Transition, described the experience of the regional data centre, an infrastructure made available to the local area with the aim of securing data, providing services and containing costs to enable everyone to make a generational leap. The Campania Region in recent years has made great investments precisely to guarantee itself and other bodies to be able to digitize their services. Now the new challenges on artificial intelligence, quantum computing, which are the two frontiers that will be the protagonist of Campania for the next few years.
Roberta Santaniello Director of NRRP interventions and Hospital Construction of the Campania Region, on the other hand, intervened at an event that took stock of the Pathway of digitalization of Health presenting the direct connection between the structures of the NRRP for a territorial medicine closer to the citizen. Santaniello spoke about the digital actions in progress for a Public Health able to give concrete answers to the needs of citizens in a Region that is making great progress that in recent years has achieved exceptional results in the field of digital health.
The Managing Authority of PR Campania FESR 21-27, Sergio Negro, also took part in the talk NP Capacity for Cohesion: an integrated strategy to improve the use of EU funds on the ground a meeting to discuss what Negro called an “important challenge to strengthen the administrative capacity even of small entities that may have difficulties in taking advantage of the opportunities offered by Europe”.
