The Campania Region took part in the 2024 edition of the Public Administration Forum held from 21 to 23 May at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Rome. Through an exhibition space and the organisation of moments of in-depth analysis and discussion, the forum’s public was made aware of the activities of the Campania Region in the correct application of the regulatory framework of the Cohesion Funds 2021 – 2027 with a particular reference to environmental sustainability (DNSH e Climate Proofing) and the Options Simplified Costs (OSC). These themes, together with the Campania Region’s commitment to innovation, simplification and digitalisation, have characterised the Region’s exhibition space.

The European programming 2021-2027 and the approach of PR FESR Campania between simplification of costs and climate neutrality were the focus of a talk organised by the Managing Authority of PR Campania FESR within the PA 2024 Forum. The meeting was useful to underline the MA’s commitment to updating the tools and the organisation of the processes, pursuing the best performance in the implementation of the Programme, without losing sight of the national regulatory framework. Divided into two panels, the event involved DNSH and Climate Proofing. Gian Nicola Loi (disambiguation)– Programme Manager – DG Urban and Regional Policy – European Commission and Sergio Negro (disambiguation) – Director of the Managing Authority of the ERDF RP – Campania Region – while for the part of the Simplified Cost Options Eleonora Fiorello (disambiguation) – Project Officer – DG Urban and Regional Policy – European Commission and Roberta Esposito – Director of staff TA AdG FESR – Campania Region. During the dialogue, which offered ideas and parallels between the work of the Campania Region and that implemented by other Member States in transforming regulatory obligations into opportunities to improve the performance of the Programme, the MA put forward the idea of defining in standard costs those linked to environmental sustainability in order to facilitate and speed up the implementation of the Campania ERDF RDP.

The issue of simplified cost options, on which the Campania Region has developed a particular expertise, was discussed by Maria Orlacchio (Technical Assistance to the Campania Region Managing Authority of Meridiana) during an Academy, held at the PA Forum, entitled ‘How to design standard cost methodologies’.

The participation of the Campania Region in the PA Forum was also an opportunity for the members of the Unit for the Implementation of the Communication Strategy of the ESI Funds of Campania to participate in the Working Table of Cohesion Communicators. The meeting, organised in collaboration with the Department for Cohesion Policy and for the South of the Prime Minister’s Office, entitled ‘Innovating Cohesion Policy communication, enhancing Europe’s role’, was an opportunity to discuss, exchange experiences and build a shared approach based on some ideas for reflection and the sharing of innovative practices that have already been tested.
