On the occasion of the 56th edition of Vinitaly, the international wine festival to be held in Verona from 14 to 17 April 2024, the Chamber of Commerce Irpinia and Sannio organized an out-of-salon Irpinia & Sannio Wine Night, evening event held in the prestigious setting of Palazzo and Giardino Giusti, to enhance the wine products and companies of the territory.
The initiative initiated by Girolamo Pettrone, Extraordinary Commissioner of the Chamber of Commerce of Irpinia and Sannio, was inaugurated by the Councillor for Agriculture of the Campania Region, Nicola Caputo, the President of Union Camere Nazionale, Andrea Prete, the Rector of the Federico II University of Naples, Matteo Lorito and the President of the Campania Aerospace District, Luigi Carrino. Politics, trade and scientific research together on the same stage to promote the development of new production technologies in favour of Campanian oenology.
The evening, which was very much attended, was an opportunity to involve buyers, food bloggers and influencers, to present to the national press and to Italian and foreign operators the initiatives that the Chamber of Commerce has carried out for the wine production chain, starting from the first Wine Guide Irpinia Sannio edited by Luciano Pignataro journalist of Il Mattino and profound connoisseur of the gastronomy and viticulture of the territory.
Irpinia & Sannio Wine Night, therefore, preceded by one day the inauguration of the ‘Campania divino’ at Vinitaly.
The Campania pavilion – a large area of 5800 m2 – curated by the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Production Activities of the Campania Region, in collaboration with the four Chambers of Commerce (Naples, Caserta, Avellino and Benevento, Salerno), which will host the stands of over 180 companies from the main territories grouped into five separate corridors based on the production areas: Irpinia, Sannio, Salerno, Caserta and Naples.
