The Campania Region supports the establishment of Renewable Energy Communities capable of promoting the sharing and production of sustainable energy resources and contributing to overcoming the use of fossil fuels.
The main objective is to promote self-consumption, maximise local energy consumption and reduce energy costs for citizens and businesses, also in view of the centrality that these aggregate forms will assume in the concrete implementation of the ecological transition promoted by the European Union.
Beneficiaries
The Notice is addressed to municipalities in Campania with a population of less than 5 000 inhabitants. with the possibility of association when applying for funding and setting up one or more Communities.
Renewable Energy Communities (ERCs) can set up as legal entities, bringing together natural persons, companies and entities, and act collectively for the sharing of self-produced energy from renewable sources.
Financial allocation and amount of the contribution
The Campania Region has allocated EUR 1 000 000 to support the establishment of the Communities (maximum EUR 8 000 per Community). The activities financed are those relating to the preparation of the technical and economic feasibility project and those relating to the acquisition of administrative and legal services for the establishment of the legal entity.
How to submit an application
The application for assistance must be submitted through the appropriate digital service called "Promotion of renewable energy communities" which will be made available on the Catalogue of digital services of the Campania Region from 12 noon on 10 November 2022 until 12 noon on 25 November 2022.
