The Regional Council with Delibera n. 148 del 21 marzo 2023 ha attivato il Masterplan/Programma Integrato di Valorizzazione della Valle dell’Ufita con area target i territori dei Comuni di: Ariano Irpino, Bonito, Flumeri, Frigento, Gesualdo, Grottaminarda, Melito Irpino, Montaguto, Savignano Irpino, Sturno, Villanova del Battista.
All’area target è integrata un’area buffer secondo specifiche direttrici di valorizzazione (ecologica e paesaggistica, patrimonio identitario, produttiva) che include tutti i comuni della Associazione tra i Comuni dell’Ufita, del Calore, del Miscano e del Cervaro non inclusi nell’area target di cui al punto precedente, ossia: Carife, Casalbore, Castel Baronia, Fontanarosa, Greci, Luogosano, Mirabella Eclano, Montecalvo Irpino, Paternopoli, San Nicola Baronia, San Sossio Baronia, Sant’Angelo all’Esca, Scampitella, Taurasi, Trevico, Vallesaccarda, Zungoli.
The strategic lines identified for the development of this area are:
– Rehabilitation and completion of the road transport network in order to implement connections with the new Hirpinia station;
– Redevelopment and innovation of the production system and the manufacturing system, including through the upgrading of the present SEZ area and the regeneration of underused or abandoned industrial areas and sites;
– Strengthening policies that contribute to reducing the phenomenon of population decline;
– Environmental regeneration and enhancement aimed at landscaping and reducing hydrogeological risk;
– Reinforcement and upgrading of the agricultural and livestock supply chain system aimed at enhancing the value of products of territorial agricultural excellence;
– Urban regeneration aimed at urban regeneration of the area identified and promotion of measures to enhance and make use of the cultural and natural heritage;
– Strengthening and innovating the administrative system so that measures can be implemented more quickly and effectively.
Il 3 maggio 2023 è stato sottoscritto il Protocollo di Intesa con i Comuni interessati. Con Decreto Presidenziale n. 95 dell’18 settembre 2023, sono stati nominati i Responsabili del Comitato di Indirizzo e del Comitato di Coordinamento Tecnico.
