The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is one of the main financial instruments of the Cohesion policy of the EU. Its aim is to help bridge the disparities between the different levels of development of Europe's regions and to improve the standard of living in the least favoured regions.
The Regional Programme ERDF 2021-2027 the Campania Region (here the summary) contains indications for implementing a massive public investment programme (€5,534,632,274) structured around five “priority challenges”.
The Programme, in line with the updated Smart Specialization Strategy (S3), will strengthen the regional socio-economic system by making it more resilient, accompanying it in the digital and green transition process and helping to reduce economic, social, gender, generational and territorial inequalities.
The 2021-2027 programming follows the previous one Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020 still in operation throughout 2023.
