The project Open Data Campania It is an initiative to open up and enhance the regional public information assets. With this project, the Campania Region intends to give continuity and visibility to the processes of transparency, digitalisation and innovation activated by the administration and currently underway in the Campania region, through the dissemination of the culture of data that raises it to real wealth at the disposal of the body and the community.

The valorisation of regionally-owned data and the sharing of knowledge linked to them are the main objectives of the Campania Region’s ‘open data’ legislation, which, starting from Regional Law No 14/2013 committed to making available, through information and communication technologies, as many datasets as possible, including data produced, collected, reproduced and disseminated in pursuit of its institutional tasks.
After the subsequent approval, in 2014, of the Disciplinary on Open Data (in which, in particular, the implementation of a web portal specifically dedicated to the publication of open data was envisaged), in 2017 the appointment of the Regional Open Data Manager and the establishment of the Open Data Team marked the operational start of the Campania Region’s data release and exploitation activities, acting as a prologue to the project start-up that took place in April 2018.

Open Data Campania Region It is a project open to the contribution of citizens, businesses and institutions. You can request a dataset of your interest, suggest changes, collaborate in the growth of the open data culture of our territory by writing to TeamOpenData@regione.campania.it

Thanks to CampaniaCrea, an agile tool for the creation and personalized visualization of datasets, you can interact with the open data released in the portal and package graphs, tables and maps that you can also share and export.
