For a more connected Campania, the completion of digital connection networks will be facilitated, investments will be made in the security and modernisation of infrastructure and means of transport with attention to environmental sustainability.

The lines of action of the Campania Region in relation to Policy Objective 3 are::

  • Supporting the development of Digital Connectivity: promote infrastructural interventions for the spread of the Ultra Broadband and digital literacy processes
  • Achieve a new governance model for the transport and mobility ecosystem.
  • Digitise infrastructure and services for efficient management of the transport and mobility system through the use of ITS (Intelligence Transport System).
  • Encourage the use of public transport. Increase the standards of environmental sustainability, comfort and safety of travelers, also through the renewal of the fleet of vehicles circulating on iron, rubber and ship and through new ticketing management systems.
  • Analyze and reduce the carbon production of Local Public Transport.
  • Improve accessibility and mobility to and from urban areas, including by upgrading and modernising infrastructure.
  • Promote rapid mass transport in the metropolitan area by upgrading existing infrastructure and establishing new connecting routes.
  • Increasing road safety standards and facilitating access to inland areas by adapting and rationalising the road network.
  • Improve connections for the use of the tourist-cultural, naturalistic and landscape heritage by improving the efficiency of the network of existing connections and strengthening alternative mobility systems.
  • Development of a soft and sustainable mobility with the creation of cycle paths, cycle paths and cycling routes.
  • Enhancement of the system of regional ports. Strengthening the offer in terms of services, facilities and infrastructure to improve integration into the TEN-T (Trans-European Transport Network), promote recreational tourism, including in lesser-known areas of our region, and enhance the development of a sea economy.
  • Strengthen the integrated logistics system (ports and airports). Encouraging digital logistics systems to facilitate and incentivise freight and passenger transport.
  • Re-evaluate transport infrastructures, even in disuse, as useful spaces for the community.
