A greener Campania will require a systemic approach that goes beyond the logic and emergency approach to environmental issues, continuing to invest in prevention and supporting initiatives on the green economy and circular economy with the aim of promoting an ecological innovation of the regional development model.
The lines of action of the Campania Region in relation to Policy Objective 2 are::
- Promote systemic actions that go beyond the logic and emergency approach in the management of the environment and natural resources.
- Redevelop production and consumption processes in close connection with the National and Regional Strategy for Sustainable Development.
- Develop public and private low-carbon mobility systems to improve air quality.
- Ensuring energy security and efficiency, including through the use of renewable and low-carbon production and through the modernisation of existing production and distribution facilities.
- Promote technological and management innovation in waste, water and natural resources.
- Improve the ability to adapt to climate change and reduce the level of exposure to natural (volcanic, seismic, hydrogeological, etc.) and anthropogenic risks arising from coastal erosion, degradation and pollution.
- Develop the green infrastructure system and strengthen the system of protected areas for the protection of biodiversity, habitats and protected species and strengthen the resilience of urban and rural areas.
