For a Campania closer to citizens, a strategic approach based on partnership sharing will be adopted, acting on three different territorial reference clusters: Medium Cities, Inner Areas and Enlarged Areas.
In line with the development guidelines identified, the aim is to define the areas of implementation of PO5 and the related lines of integrated territorial development, focusing on medium-sized cities and other symbolic municipalities, on the two coastal areas north of Naples and south of Salerno. The territorial dimensions involved can also be traced back to perimeters typical of other policies (such as Social Areas/Districts, Tourist Districts, ZES, Masterplan). Priorities include:
- Material redevelopment and safety of public spaces.
- Regeneration of urban spaces.
- Protection, development and promotion of cultural heritage and cultural services, including the nature and riches of historic centres, which hold important cultural, artistic and historical testimonies.
- Promoting long-term reception for tourists (seasonalisation) and new citizens (smart workers, digital entrepreneurs).
- Investing in the civic sense of the new generations.
- Attractiveness and accessibility of territories, including through digitalisation and innovation in relevant sectors (infrastructure and mobility, social and health services, education, training and knowledge, research and development, tourism and culture).
- Reversal of demographic trends.
- Strengthen the institutional supply chain to organise tourism services throughout the region.
