The ninth edition of Smau Napoli, a reference event on innovation issues, has come to an end. There were 50 startups from Campania and 8 regional intermediate subjects, including accelerators, districts and incubators that interacted with a wide audience of national and international professionals and companies.

Many moments of confrontation that have composed a program of great interest on the issues of Smart communities with Infratel and the presentation and awarding of two successful cases represented by the municipalities of Monte di Procida and Pollica that have carried out innovation projects.

Together with the two municipalities it was awarded, also So.Re.Sa. for its actions to support the digitization of regional health services that have facilitated the rationalization and standardization of processes, allowing citizens of Campania to be able to make reservations for specialist visits, obtain prescriptions and renew the Therapeutic Plans, obtain and renew exemptions, choose and revoke the doctor or pediatrician and pay the ticket for services.

Smau Napoli was also the occasion for the first public presentation of HERITAGE SMART LAB one of the 4 European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) that will operate in Campania. The Heritage Smart Lab, which will be based in Naples, Matera and Bari, is the only European hub in Italy that is fully verticalised on the digital transformation of the cultural heritage sector and the cultural and creative industries.

Finally, among the novelties of this edition the Campania Startup Demo Day 16 innovative startups among those funded by the Campania Region with the Campania Startup 2020 call were presented to the public.

This figure is also confirmed for the next one. We plan to publish new calls for the consolidation and establishment of new innovative companies in the first quarter of 2023 in order to enrich the community of the 1400 innovative startups that represent our talent pool, which sees us as the third Italian region for innovative startups, first in Italy for startups under 30”.
