The Campania Region meets Microsoft Italy. A day of networking between Microsoft and the Special Office for Growth and Digital Transition of the Campania Region to take stock of the activities carried out, cybersecurity and new technologies available, on all artificial intelligence, in order to debureaucratise and speed up, increasingly, the practices within the Public Administration and create increasingly simpler services for citizens and businesses in Campania.

Health, transport, prevention of hydrogeological risk, energy saving; These are just some of the many areas where artificial intelligence and the metaverse can be decisive in building predictive models and supporting decisions that can provide the best answers, on the part of the public administration, to complex problems. Interrogation, interpretation and synthesis of documentation, interaction and assistance to users, monitoring of parameters, are just some of the functions that could be entrusted to artificial intelligence tools.

During the day we talked about cybersecurity and also analyzed the Microsoft products already in use and the interactions that cloud business applications services such as Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure are integrating into a power platform that will increasingly make use of the contribution of artificial intelligence. Products used by private individuals that can be re-imagined for the public administration and the citizen by creating ways to optimise internal processes, encourage interaction and adopt the best possible solutions.

Tools that the Campania Region uses and that have helped to develop the applications contained in the Catalogue of digital services of the Campania Region. A series of solutions that already today offer citizens, professionals and businesses the opportunity to obtain certificates, start practices, make payments and participate in calls and notices. Services that, with the use of innovative technologies, will evolve more and more, helping the public administration to respond even more efficiently and safely to the needs of the territory in question. To support the digital transition, the Campania Region has invested EUR 32 million of Cohesion Policy funds (Pr Campania FESR 21-27) in the implementation of the Digital Transition Plan 2023-2025 in order to develop solutions that make life easier for citizens, promote the development of professionalism and the growth of the business system.

To this end, the Special Office for Growth and Digital Transition pays close attention to the development of new technologies and, for this reason, held a day of presentation and exchange with one of the leading global software and platform players at its headquarters in Via Don Bosco.
