Cilento, an uncontaminated territory south of Salerno, is included by the Campania Region among the portions of territory supported, in sustainable development, by a Masterplan, i.e. a tool capable of triggering territorial, environmental and landscape regeneration processes, capable of producing significant economic and employment implications.
The Masterplan for the Regeneration and enhancement of the Cilento South Coast, is added to those already under construction dedicated to the Domitio-Flegreo coast and to the Litorale Salerno South.
The Masterplan is in addition to the current ones, on which the Campania Region is already investing significant European resources by supporting measures aimed at environmental recovery and redevelopment with the aim of full bathing on the regional coast.
The mayor of Pollica, Stefano Pisani, which will be among the animators of the project, welcomes the decision to create, from the bottom up, a document capable of giving a new vision of development to a territory such as the Cilento area, which it defines as ‘a trunk full of treasures’ but which needs a clear and unique development strategy. The challenge now for the mayor of Pollica is to start the campaign of listening to the communities and at the same time to identify the sources of funding needed, in the new programming of European funds or in the NRRP to give life to the projects.
