Inauguration of the ‘European City’ urban park. It is a work that is profoundly changing Cava’s face: where before there was a huge car park, now underground, now there is a green lung where citizens can walk, meet and talk.

The park was inaugurated by the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, who cut the ribbon, together with Mayor Vincenzo Servalli, and opened the new urban park ‘The European City’, built on the railway trench, to citizens.

In the new green park with large flower beds, gardens, dozens of trees, space for small dogs in the booth, areas for leisure, socialising, sports, recreational activities and an open-air theatre’. Community, inclusive and sustainable spaces that make Cava de’ Tirreni a town that evolves into a European dimension by making the best use of the resources of the Cohesion Policy of the Campania Region.

The new urban park was financed for an amount of approximately € 3 million from the ERDF Po 2007/2013 – Ob. Op. 6.1 – More Europe Programme and co-financed by OP FESR Campania 2014 – 2020 Axis X – Sustainable Urban Development – Integrated Sustainable City Programme P.I.C.S. Action 9.6.6 for a further EUR 983,000.
