Approved (Dgr 764 of 04/11/2025) the preliminary draft of the "Masterplan – Integrated programme for the enhancement of the Cilento South coast’.
The Masterplan-PIV Cilento Sud is the third strategic intervention line dedicated to the coast of Campania, after the Masterplan-PIV Litorale Domitio Flegreo and Salerno Sud.
The Masterplan Cilento Sud targets an area comprising the municipalities of Ascea, Camerota, Casal Velino, Centola, Ispani, Montecorice, Pisciotta, Pollica, San Giovanni a Piro, San Mauro Cilento, Santa Marina, Sapri and Vibonati, while specifying that a buffer area may be integrated into the same target area, which will include all municipalities that have interactions with the target area and that are not already included in other territorial development strategies or other programming tools.
General objective
Promote sustainable and integrated development of the Cilento territory, overcoming municipal limits and combating depopulation, through coordinated actions in the environmental, energy, economic and social sectors.

Integrated vision
A network of "aproon communities" working together for ecosystem efficiency, territorial resilience and shared growth. The strategy, through eight system projects, aims to overcome localistic logics by combining the concepts of "smart economy" and "green communities", is aimed at forming an integrated development plan from an energy, environmental, economic and social point of view.

The project enhances the northern area of Cilento as a gateway to the Mediterranean Diet, with interventions on sustainable mobility, environmental protection, urban regeneration, cultural and digital heritage, promoting tourism, inclusion and innovation in historic villages.
Lands and seas of the Mediterranean diet
The project promotes urban and environmental regeneration of coastal Cilento, with sustainable mobility, smart grid, regenerative agriculture and enhancement of villages. It focuses on slow tourism, integrated services and digital innovation in the wake of the Mediterranean Diet.
Parco dell’Alento – Via del Sale
The project enhances the area between Casal Velino and Ascea with interventions on sustainable mobility, urban regeneration, environmental protection and tourism promotion. It includes cycle paths, intermodal hubs, recovery of villages and enhancement of services along the historic Via del Sale.
Terre pisciottane
The project enhances the territory of Pisciotta with interventions on sustainable mobility, urban regeneration, environmental protection and cultural promotion. Includes greenway, smart grid, recovery of villages and local traditions, with a focus on olive growing and typical fishing.
Lambro and Mingardo River Parks
The project enhances the Lambro and Mingardo river auctions with natural parks, sustainable mobility, urban regeneration and environmental protection. It promotes slow tourism, smart grids, widespread services and connections between villages, archaeological sites and coastal areas, integrating nature and culture.
Bulgheria Rock Park
The project enhances the Bulgheria Rock Park with interventions on sustainable mobility, coastal defense, urban redevelopment and cultural promotion. It focuses on slow tourism, smart grid, recovery of villages and local traditions, integrating nature, archaeology and innovation.
Buxentum
The project enhances the Buxentum area with interventions on sustainable mobility, urban regeneration, environmental protection and cultural promotion. It includes bike paths, smart grid, recovery of villages and historical sites, with widespread services and connections between coast, parks and towns.
Sinus Laus – Monte Ceraso Park
The project enhances the area between Sapri and Vibonati with interventions on sustainable mobility, urban regeneration, environmental protection and tourism promotion. It includes greenways, smart grids, widespread hospitality, waterfront redevelopment and connections between villages, coasts and natural areas.
